Greener planning, Greener UK
Our joint managing director Andrew Richardson has been heavily involved in the Horticultural Trades Association's Greening the UK campaign during his two years as the Association’s President. The publication of the Greener Planning Greener UK guide for local authorities is the culmination of much of that work.

We highly recommend it to all of our customers.
Our ISO 9001 Accreditation upheld
A recent assessment of our management system found that it is “effectively controlled with clear evidence of proactive measures in place in order to improve performance for quality and the environment.”
Delivering the goods - time after time
Every time we make a delivery we ask for feedback on the service, delivery, and the overall condition of the plants. The last batch to be analysed showed that on 98% of occasions we meet and exceed customer expectations. 85% of these people rate Johnsons overall service as better than other Nurseries. To encourage participation in this research we put the response cards into a hat and award a Marks & Spencer Gift Voucher to the name drawn out. Lucky winner this time is Peter Goddard of Peter Goddard Landscaping of New Romney in Kent. Why don't you join in on your next delivery?
Keeping it clean with ISO 14001
With so many keen anglers on our staff here we would pollute local streams and ponds at our peril - especially those we have created and stocked on most of our productions units.
Award for Groundwork North East Project
Congratulations to Groundwork North East who have been instrumental in the Belmont Community Garden in the Walker area of Newcastle upon Tyne winning an Urban Green Space Award – with a little help from the local community and our plants!
