Consistent plant production
Our production philosophy is to combine time honoured horticultural techniques with the best that modern technology can offer us.
We were one of the first growers to embrace the concept of LEAN production - constantly reviewing the way we do things to reduce waste of time and resources, thus keeping
cost out - and also keeping prices down.
Our plants start life in our own purpose-built propagation unit where cuttings which are taken and stuck on the same day are grouped together so that, from the start, they receive the same light, water and nutrients to ensure that the young plants grow uniformly.
As the plants mature they are transplanted to larger containers and stand on gravel beds exposed to all the elements to ensure hardiness. As well as being watered and fed uniformly they are cut back from time to time to ensure both bushy growth and that the plant has the correct number of breaks to match specification.
When the plants are lifted they are stacked in specially designed stillages to ensure that they are not damaged before they reach our despatch area where they are prepared for delivery to you.
